PERTEMPURAN DI LOMBOK
Indrapura, kapal uap yang tiba kemarin dari Jawa, membawa berita tentang beberapa pertempuran sengit di Lombok, di Belanda wilayah. Sesaat sebelum Indrapura berlayar sebuah laporan sampai di Batavia bahwa Belanda pasukan dikirim untuk menghukum penduduk asli Lombok, telah bertemu dengan kebalikan yang hebat, tidak kurang dari 400 tentara yang dibantai Sebagai pembalasan, skuadron Belanda melanjutkan pergi ke tempat kejadian dan menembaki desa-desa. Banyak penduduk asli terbunuh, dan Putra Mahkota Lombok ada di antara yang terluka.

FIGHTING IN LOMBOK.
The steamer indrapura, which arrived yesterday from Java, brings news of some severe fighting at Lombok, in the Dutch territory. Just before the Indrapura sailed a report reached Batavia that the Dutch troops sent out to punish the natives of Lombok, had met with great reverses, no less than 400 of the troops being massacred In retaliation the Dutch squadron proceeded to the scene and shelled the villages. Many of the natives were killed, and the Crown Prince of Lombok was amongst the wounded.
